I love this image.  Melissa made her own bouquet her Mom hand made her wedding gown and wrap and of course those are fabulous shoes!

Hand sewn, from scratch! I couldn’t believe it when I saw it, I thought for sure it was a designer gown!

All of the little details of their wedding were perfect!

It was cold and windy but they humoured me and went outside anyway!

Melissa and Phil got married last weekend at the Wedding Pavillion here in Calgary.  What a beautiful, beautiful wedding! I am so pleased with the images and how everything turned out.

I love this, it doesn’t say “Music Teacher getting married.” to me it says “Princess about to marry her Prince Charming.”! The red dress is an elegant touch.

One more! I keep adding more and more favourites! So many wonderful pictures form the wedding! I always tell the ladies that the boudoir session isn’t’ always about being sexy, it is always about showing your true beauty.  Once that shines the sexy comes out in full force! Stephanie is fun, she is bubbly, full of giggles and good times she proved that an amazing and shining smile can be one of the sexiest things ever!

Then, when she showed up for her Boudoir Session with a maid outfit and a Swiffer mop I knew that this was going to be easy!

Of course it was super easy.  It always is!

These pictures in the bathroom are my favourites from the day. I just can’t get enough of them. I am sure Stephanie’s husband was a big fan of them as well!

Actually, I just can’t get enough of Stephanie she is breathtakingly beautiful!

Now, I am not one to usually interfere but I can’t be the only one thinking that Stephanie will be the perfect maternity subject! All this beauty, that killer smile and a baby belly? I really want to photograph her in a maternity session!  Hope these pictures help move the process along, I’m just saying…

When I spoke to Peyton’s dad about the location I wanted to photograph her he looked at me quizzically and said, very slowly, “Okay?” In more of a questionable manner than a statement.  I just giggled to myself, smiled and replied with “Trust me.”

I am glad he did.  In less than 20 minutes we took some FABULOUS photographs of Peyton. Then we went for coffee.  We sat and talked in Starbucks for three times longer than we were outside shooting!

Time and Location is often used as an excuse to NOT go out and have some portraits taken. Either of yourself, or your family.  I think they are just that. Excuses.  You give a good photographer 20 minutes, in the back alley of your home and you will be amazed!

Most photographers see the world differently then others, or so we like to believe.  I like to think I can find the extra in ordinary and make it Extraordinary.  I get a slight kick out of encouraging sessions in a location that is questionable, and creating something they want to put on their walls. Hearing them them say “Can you BELIEVE that this picture was taken here?” when bragging about their portraits makes me swell up with pride!
